Mike Tindall launches a new gin brand honoring the Queen's favorite tipple
Mike Tindall has launched a new gin called 'Black Eye' with the tagline, ‘ride the storms and celebrate the sunshine’
Mike Tindall is launching a new gin brand called 'Black Eye' with his podcast co-hosts, featuring a unique black bottle.
- Zara Tindall's husband is launching a new product, a specially-crafted royal gin.
- It's not the first time the Royal Family has been associated with a gin brand - you can buy a bottle of gin from the palace itself.
- In other royal news, Kate Middleton admits she 'absolutely' feels guilty when her children make this heartbreaking request.
Mike's clearly an entrepreneurial man, with other side hustles set in motion after he stopped playing rugby. In recent years he also launched the podcast ‘The Good, the Bad & The Rugby’, which has proved to be widely popular with viewers across the globe.
And it's this podcast that's led Mike to launch a new venture, alongside his co-hosts James Haskell and Alex Payne. The new brand is called Black Eye with the special blend of gin housed in a unique black bottle. The bottles will cost £40 for an unsigned bottle and £60 for a signed one.
This is just the latest in line of gin offerings from the Royal Family. You can actually buy a bottle of dry gin - just like the Queen drinks it - from the gift shop at Buckingham Palace, which is infused with 12 different botanicals from the gardens of the Palace, such as lemon verbena, juniper and mulberry leaves. A bottle of the Buckingham Palace gin will also cost you £40.
The Queen also once launched a special limited-addition rose petal gin to the public.
Mike Tindall and the Queen clearly have a lot in common, with the pair often photographed sharing a joke together.
In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Mike talked about how the Royal Family have welcomed him with open arms.
He said, “I can only say how kind they’ve been to me, and how welcoming they’ve been to me since joining the family.
“And how they’ve made my family feel welcome.
“I’ve always felt part of it and I think that’s down to what an amazing woman the Queen is. They’re a fantastic family.”
We can't wait to try one of Tindall's tipples once it hit the shelves!
